My name is Anjal Paudel. I am studying for Mechanical Engineering at CCNY. My research is studying the effects of high speed droplets onto surfaces with professor Yang Liu and a Phd student Jordan Giacoma. To perform this experiment, we will use the shock tube of the Aerolab in the Steimann Building. A different velocity shockwaves will be generated using high pressure which will be aimed at a falling drop of water and the combination of high speed air and droplet will impact the surface we are studying. We will use Schlieren imaging and a high speed camera to visualize the shockwave.
